Subject: Freedom of Information Request INF 1802092

Dear Mr Mortimer,

Thank you for your information request. The Council received this on 28 December 2013. The information you requested is shown below.

Please will you kindly tell me what the (a) gender and (b) familial relationship was to the child victim of offenders in substantiated child abuse cases in the area which you have a duty to protect children from abuse for the last full year which figures are available, broken down by (i) physical abuse, (ii) emotional abuse, (iii) sexual abuse and (iv) cases of neglect.

North Lincolnshire Council holds information in relation to children who are on a child protection plan as a result of being at risk of significant harm. The council would not necessarily hold information on whether the perpetrator was at the time of the abuse, or subsequently, having been subject to criminal prosecution & found guilty, an offender.

As not all of the information you have requested is held by the council we are unable to respond to your request.

I hope this reply is to your satisfaction. If there is anything further you require with regard to this particular request, please let me know.

If you are unhappy about how we have dealt with your FOI request please let me know and I will refer the matter to the council’s complaints policy. Alternatively you can complain by e-mail using the following email address: customerservice@northlincs.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely

Charlotte Tod
